Jennifer Tomas

Jennifer is the graduate assistant to the Center. She maintains the
Center's website and assists with the implementation of the Center's
activitities. Jennifer has taught high school social studies in New York State and has
also taught college history courses at SUNY Oneonta and Binghamton
University.
Jennifer is a doctoral candidate at Binghamton University working under
the direction of Dr. Kathryn Kish Sklar. Her areas of specialization are,
the
United States since 1865, U.S. Women and Gender, and Comparative
Women's History (U.S., Modern Europe, and Latin America). She
holds a Bachelor's Degree in History from Wells
College and an
MA in History from Binghamton University. She is currently working on two
projects. Her dissertation is entitled, "Creating a Paradigm Shift in the
Field of
American History: Building U.S. Women's History, 1952-1990." She is
also co-editor of a volume of selections from an oral history archive
titled, "Living U.S. Women's
History: Voices From the Field, 1960-2000."
